CONDUCTOR

The chance to bring his own music to life from the conductor’s podium awakened in him a deep fascination with the art of orchestral conducting. His repertoire unfolds like a vivid mosaic—ranging from the timeless works of the great symphonic masters to the vibrant colors of jazz, flamenco, and Venezuelan folk traditions. Through his unique vision, these genres merge seamlessly within the luminous sound of the symphony orchestra, creating performances that are both captivating and unforgettable.
It was a great pleasure to work with you! Your care and preparation was at a level that was exceptional, and I was truly impressed at the level you were able to achieve with the orchestra with just one short rehearsal. I hope that we have the opportunity to work together again.

Raimundo Pineda is an exceptional flutist of compelling artistry and a renowned teacher. I recently witnessed Maestro Pineda in a role I had not known of before; Raimundo is also an amazing conductor! I am so grateful that the opportunity arose for me to see Maestro Pineda in action; the orchestra was performing repertoire that I imagine was difficult, but his ability to guide the orchestra to the soloist and his clear-eyed interpretation made for an effortless and very enjoyable listening experience. I am a huge fan!

Maestro Raimundo achieved wonders, conducting two flute concertos at the NFA Flute Convention. His wise, empathetic and humble approach facilitated some absolutely wonderful results out of both soloists and the orchestra. There was a confidence and radiance in the performances which were the direct result of the trust and natural musicianship that were generated through his humble connection with the musicians, combined with the refined gestures of his baton.
